Two significant meetings were held under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue & General) Syed Usman Munir Bukhari here on Saturday. The first focused on preparations for the upcoming Spring Festival Flower Show 2025, while the second reviewed revenue recovery progress and Board of Revenue initiatives. The flower show is scheduled to take place from April 11 to 13 at Government Boys High School, Haripoora, Mailsi. All departments will participate by setting up thematic stalls, with a special flower stall competition being organized. Winners will receive awards and certificates. Various departments including Social Welfare, Health, Population Welfare, Sports, Forest, Punjab Food Authority, Civil Defense, Education, Public Health Engineering, Police, and Rescue 1122 will set up awareness and service-oriented stalls. In the second meeting, issues related to water charges (Aabiana), agricultural income tax, stamp duty, property transfers, pending land records, and joint ownership partitions were thoroughly reviewed. The ADC directed revenue officers to accelerate recovery efforts, enhance field performance, and take strict action against negligent staff. He emphasised timely resolution of pending land record issues and proper division of joint holdings. Assistant Commissioner Mailsi Khaleel Ahmed, GRA Shahid Nawab Gujar, Tehsildars of Vehari Malik Javed, Muhammad Imran Burewala, and Bahadar Khan Mailsi, along with other revenue officials, were present at the meetings.
